Erisha’s Talk Town : A Place Where Every Child Finds Their Voice

For children, play is more than fun—it’s their natural way of learning. At Talk Town, therapy sessions are rooted in play because it’s the most effective way to spark curiosity, engagement, and growth. Whether it’s building blocks, role-playing, or exploring sensory activities, every game we play has a purpose. Through play, we develop speech, language, and communication skills while ensuring every session is filled with joy and laughter. Fun is non-negotiable here because it’s how children learn best!
At Talk Town, we believe "communication is more than just words". It’s about connection, understanding, and being heard. Every child has the right to communicate, and we’re here to ensure that happens, no matter the method.
Through a blend of play based therapy, evidence-based practices, and a compassionate team, we create a space where children thrive. Whether they’re using their voice, gestures, signs, or technology, we celebrate every step they take toward connection and inclusion.
Why Play is the Heart of What We Do
Welcome to Erisha’s Talk Town : A Place Where Every Child Finds Their Voice
Evidence-Based Practices with a Personal Touch
Every approach at Talk Town is grounded in research and tailored to the unique needs of your child. Our evidence-based practices include the following:

Hanen Parent Training
Supporting parents of children with autism to enhance communication.
Teaching practical strategies to build interaction and communication during everyday routines.
Empowering families to become the primary facilitators of their child’s language growth.
Using tactile-kinaesthetic cues to support accurate speech production.
PROMPT Therapy
Strengthening oral motor skills to improve speech clarity and feeding abilities.
Oral Placement Therapy
Speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behaviour therapists, and psychologists work together to address each child’s diverse needs.
A team approach ensures every aspect of your child’s development is considered.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
For some children, spoken words may not come easily, but that doesn’t mean communication stops. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) opens up a world of possibilities, allowing children to express their thoughts, needs, and feelings in ways that work best for them.
AAC can include:
Picture-based systems like PECS.
High-tech devices like speech-generating tablets or apps.
Gestures, sign language, or any other method that helps a child communicate.
AAC doesn’t replace speech—it supports and enhances it. Many children who start with AAC go on to develop spoken language, while others use AAC alongside speech. More importantly, AAC boosts their vocabulary, confidence, and self-esteem, giving them the power to interact with the world on their terms.
Dynamic Assessments for Individualized Care
No two children are the same, and neither are their needs. Our assessments go beyond standardized tests to observe how a child communicates in natural settings. By involving parents and caregivers in the process, we gain a holistic understanding of the child and tailor a plan that truly fits them.
Giving a Voice with AAC
Equipping families with the tools and strategies to continue therapy at home.
